Spring break fun

We learned that no two zebras have the same stripes. Reminds me of us and how God created us...no two the same.

Fun at the park!

Chris and Danielle "flying".

Yesterday was the first day of spring break for Danielle. They talked me into ditching the laundry chores and going to Wild Adventures. Didn't take much convincing, although today I am trying to play catch up!

Sunday Supper

I wanted to share a "recipe card holder idea". Yep, that's a mouthful. I read the idea years ago and it always works, whether I use it for a 3x5 card or a page like this. The other picture is hubby getting trigger happy. He says he can't help it when it's his favority subject, isn't he silly!

A fork and a glass, how simple is that and it's free!

Mmmm, Hormone free chkn with turmeric, cumin, umm I forgot the rest; roasted sweet potatoes; seasoned broccoli; and seasoned green beans with garlic and basil. If your mouth is watering, I will say it was VERY tasty. There were no leftovers.

Saturday's family time

For those of you with teens, family time is almost a dirty word. Our's tends to grumble and groan when we say "guess what..today we have a family event". Last Saturday we went to "the Little Grand Canyon of the south" or Providence Canyon. The weather wasn't cooperative, as the wind was bitting cold but the scenery...God can provide the most amazing things to see.

Choosing Home

As I continue to settle into being a stay-at-home wife, I find the enemy takes advantage of every opportunity to tempt me to spend my time away from home. Distractions, believing other things (like me) are more important than tending to our home and family..and most importantly God. I found a great article to give me a boost for a few more weeks and help me keep focused. I hope this link works, and most of all I hope you enjoy it. She did a great job!

Angel bears

Now and then I enjoy creating these angel bears. I made the pattern from 3 different ones. Though each bear I make is different from the others.

The back road barn

I love the time spent living here in the south! I went to visit a friend out on a farm community she lives on and found this on the way! The whole thing is covered in signs. It sits between two cotton fields.

I told my husband since we have about 14mths left here in south GA, I want to make sure and get pictures of all the old barns and churches I love around here. Funny, we've lived here for a few years and I just look and them and enjoy them...never thinking to take pictures until I think about us moving.

The Art of Taking Care of Your Soul

I love this quote I got from a greeting card. The picture is in Canada when my husband went fishing.

Look for your guardian angel.
Take long walks and let your instincts lead the way.
Wish on falling stars...
Sing a song.
Buy something new.
Rediscover something old.
Go to bed early.
Wake up late.
Light candles at dinner.
Call an old friend.
Make a new one.
Indulge in simple pleasures of the heart.

Blogging break

I've been out of town and now trying to catch up. You know being out of town for a few days seems to allow a mess to multiply while your gone. It's taking some time to get back in the swing of things.

May God's Peace be with you today.
